Customs clearance in Morocco

To receive a package in Morocco, your shipment must pass through customs. Indeed, the importation of goods and merchandise involves customs clearance once they arrive on Moroccan territory.

First of all, you will have to make sure that what you are sending complies with Moroccan legislation. Also, some products will require additional documentation (for example for agricultural products, you will need to provide a phytosanitary certificate).

The calculation of customs duties and fees is calculated on the value CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight price). Moroccan customs will apply the following charges to the value of your goods and the price of the shipment:

  1. Value Added Tax (VAT): 20% of the taxed value.
  2. Import duties: 25% of the taxed value.
  3. Para-fiscal tax: 0.25% of the taxed value.
  4. Variable customs duty rate: depending on the nature of the imported goods.

For person-to-person shipments, you will benefit from a deductible of 1250 MAD (either 113 euros). You will therefore be exempt from paying customs duties.
